KUALA LUMPUR, June 6 (Bernama) -- The MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2025 Perak, to be held at the Lumut Waterfront from June 13 to 15, will offer a wide range of services, activities, and sales suitable for all segments of society.
The PMR 2025 Main Secretariat, in its frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the programme, said that a total of 36 booths involving federal ministries and agencies, as well as the Perak government, will offer over 200 services for the convenience of visitors.
Similar to previous PMR events, a variety of services will be available, including helmet exchanges by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and summons counters provided by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).
Additionally, there will be a Career Carnival featuring 10 employers from various sectors offering a total of 1,000 job opportunities, as well as healthcare services.
“The programme encompasses the provision of various direct touchpoint services to the public, including social, healthcare, welfare, education, career opportunities, and economic support assistance,” it said.
The FAQ added that the services align with the theme of PMR 2025 Perak, ‘Pendidikan Tinggi Pemacu Negara MADANI’, which focuses on the role of higher education institutions as catalysts for policy and development driven by disciplines such as research, innovation, and critical thinking.
It said that 66 local entrepreneurs will take part, offering a variety of products alongside the MADANI Sale, which provides discounts and special offers ranging from 10 to 30 per cent on daily necessities and special promotions.
Government-linked companies, non-governmental organisations, and private entities will also collaborate by providing services that the public needs, the FAQ said.
PMR 2025 Perak will run from 9 am to 10 pm on the first and second days and from 9 am to 6 pm on the final day. Operating hours for ministry, agency, and state services will be from 9 am to 6 pm daily.
The event, which aims to attract 100,000 visitors, is jointly organised by the Prime Minister’s Office through the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU), the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT), and the Perak government.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to attend the event on June 15 to officiate the closing ceremony at 2 pm.
The FAQ said the first two editions of PMR 2025 in Sabah and Johor surpassed their visitor targets, recording 192,250 and 152,186 visitors, respectively.
