UNIVERSAL SERVICED OFFICES EXPANDS WITH THIRD FACILITY LAUNCHED IN LABUAN

LABUAN, April 18 (Bernama) -- Universal Serviced Offices (USO) and Management Ltd, Labuan's leading provider of serviced office facilities, inaugurated its newest flagship facility today at Malaysia's international business and financial centre (IBFC) of Labuan.

The third facility, situated at Level 13 (C), Block 4 of Financial Park Labuan, was officially opened by Association of Labuan Trust Companies chairman Datuk Chin Chee Kee. 

Chin expressed his confidence in USO's commitment to support the growth of the financial industry by delivering world-class serviced office spaces and management services.

“Companies like Universal Serviced Offices play a pivotal role in facilitating the establishment of numerous businesses. 

“Their collaboration with industry stakeholders ensures a strong foundation for businesses in Labuan, benefitting both the local economy and its people,” Chin said during the launch.

Highlighting the significance of the new facility, Chin emphasised its role in assisting Labuan-based companies in meeting the substance requirements set by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as enforced by the Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA). 

He said compliance with these requirements entails the establishment of physical offices with full-time employees, driving the demand for office spaces in the Labuan IBFC.

Labuan IBFC currently hosts over 5,000 active companies, including prominent financial institutions such as banks, insurance companies, trust companies, leasing firms and commodity traders. 

Chin underscored the vital role of office facilities in supporting the establishment and growth of registered companies, thereby stimulating the local economy.

USO regional manager Imelda Thadeus elaborated on the features of the new facility, which includes modern workstations, fully serviced private offices, and amenities such as high-speed Internet access and contemporary business lounges. 

“Noteworthy additions to the latest facility are the USO Elite corner, offering offices with panoramic ocean views, and a wellness corridor,” she said.

She said the new business centre, with a gross area of 5,508 square feet, enhances USO's capacity to accommodate the evolving needs of Labuan's business community. 

Imelda reiterated USO's commitment to supporting local businesses by prioritising the procurement of goods and services from the Labuan community.
