KLUANG, June 30 (Bernama) -- The problem of internet network disruptions plaguing Felda Layang-Layang residents is about to find a solution.
Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for Layang-Layang state seat, Guna Balakrishnan, said representatives from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) have reviewed and drawn up a plan to improve the network in the settlements involved to ensure residents enjoy more stable digital access.
"They (MCMC) provided some information on how we can solve the internet network problem here so that residents can enjoy better access," he said when met after a visit session around Felda Layang-Layang here, today.
He said that a series of house-to-house visits involving 40 homes since early this morning also recorded several other domestic issues including the need to upgrade the drainage system to overcome flash floods and safety threats due to the presence of stray dogs.
Entering the fourth day of campaigning, Guna said he would redouble his aggressive work to the interior areas, traditional kampungs and Chinese villages to ensure that no community voice is marginalised from his attention.
Commenting on the community's acceptance, he described the initial feedback so far as very positive and determined to continue working hard to gain the trust and mandate from voters.
The Layang-Layang state seat witnessed a three-cornered contest involving Guna, Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Chua Jian Boon and the incumbent of the seat, Abd Mutalip Abd Rahim representing Perikatan Nasional (PN).
The Johor state election saw a total of 172 candidates contesting for 56 state seats with polling day set for July 11, while early voting is on July 7.
