PBB's South Zone Convention A Platform To Strengthen Unity, Consensus Within Party - Fadillah

KUCHING, June 28 (Bernama) -- The South Zone Sarawak Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Convention, scheduled to take place on September 20, will serve as an important platform to strengthen unity and consensus within the party while aligning the direction of its struggle.

PBB Senior Vice President Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the convention also aims to empower the party machinery to ensure it remains relevant, effective, and consistently prioritises the interests of the people and the state of Sarawak.

"Through this convention, we will ensure that the entire leadership and grassroots move in unison and harmony to successfully execute Sarawak's development agenda towards a more advanced, inclusive, and sustainable state under the leadership of Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

"Insya-Allah (God willing), with the commitment of all parties, we will ensure that the South Zone Sarawak PBB Convention runs smoothly and achieves its objectives," he said.

He said this in a Facebook post today after chairing the South Zone Sarawak PBB Convention Main Committee Meeting, which discussed various aspects of preparation ahead of the convention's organisation.

According to Fadillah, the meeting focused on the appointment of committee members, coordination of organisational aspects, logistics, programme flow, and the preparedness of the committee to ensure the convention is executed in an orderly and smooth manner, achieving its set objectives.
