Team Rey Young Target MWI Title At EWC 2026

KUALA LUMPUR, June 11 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s women’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) team, Team Rey Young, have set their sights on winning the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) 2026 at the Esports World Cup (EWC), scheduled to take place in Paris this July.

Team coach Divaan Nagaraju, better known as Frost, said his players are not heading to the prestigious tournament merely to make up the numbers, but are determined to challenge for the championship.

“My target, as I have told everyone, is to become champions. I’m not going there just to have fun.

“I want to take these players as far as possible and do the best for Malaysia and the team,” he said when met recently.

He added that targeting the title is not unrealistic, given the team’s surprise performance during the qualification stage.

“I think heading to Paris, my team will be more prepared than before, and the players also want to win.

“So with that spirit, if we go to EWC, I think whatever happens, we can deliver the best result possible,” he said.

Meanwhile, Team Rey Young roamer Chloe Chong, known as Qiiboy, said she is equally determined to help the team secure the championship.

Qiiboy, who previously competed on the same stage in the 2024 edition with a different team, said that experience has boosted her confidence to perform at a higher level this time around.

“Our focus now is to continue improving our performance and raising our level of play,” she said.
