MINA, May 25 (Bernama-SPA) -- Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior announced that the Haj Security Forces stationed at the entrances to Makkah had apprehended one expatriate and seven citizens for violating Hajj regulations and instructions by transporting 18 individuals without valid permits.
The ministry issued fines of up to SAR100,000 against the transporters and all those involved in the violations. Fines of up to SAR20,000 were also imposed on the individuals who were transported for attempting to perform Hajj without a permit, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The expatriate violators will be deported and banned from re-entering the Kingdom for 10 years following the completion of their sentences.
The ministry also called for the confiscation of the vehicles used to transport the violators.
