KUALA LUMPUR, May 2 (Bernama) -- Bantuan Kasih Johor (BKJ) Phase 4 is expected to be announced next week in an effort by the state government to reduce the burden of the people's cost of living, said Johor Chief Minister Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.
Onn Hafiz, who is also the Johor UMNO Liaison Body chairman, said that the initiative is one of the state government's steps to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people.
"To reduce the burden of the cost of living for the people of Johor, the state government led by UMNO will announce BKJ Phase 4 for the people of this state. Insya-Allah, we will announce it next week," he said.
He said this during his speech at the 80th UMNO Anniversary Convention at the World Trade Centre here today.
BKJ is a continuous initiative by the state government as an effort to alleviate the burden of the cost of living for the people, especially the vulnerable and low-income groups.
So far, more than 500,000 people in Johor have benefitted from the assistance, with over RM150 million also allocated in the Johor Budget 2026 for the BKJ distribution.
