KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 (Bernama) -- The government remains committed to advancing the MADANI economic agenda by strengthening public-private collaboration, developing digital talent and empowering local industries.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the efforts are crucial to ensure that technological progress translates into inclusive benefits so that no Malaysian is left behind in the digital era.

“Today, I received a courtesy call from Huawei’s leadership led by its Asia Pacific president Terry He and Huawei Malaysia chief executive officer Simon Sun,” he said in a Facebook post today.

He said the meeting provided an important platform to exchange views on the country’s digital future and to further strengthen long-standing strategic cooperation.

Anwar had previously stressed the government’s commitment to implementing the nation’s digital transformation, while ensuring that Malaysians are fully aware of related initiatives and become a digitally literate and artificial intelligence (AI)-ready community.
