Malaysian Archers Clinch Two Bronze Medals In Asia Cup 2026

KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 (Bernama) -- National archers bagged two bronze medals on the third day of the 2026 Asia Cup Archery Championships (Stage 1) in Bangkok today.

The national women's compound trio of Fatin Nurfatehah Mat Salleh, Ng Sui Kim and Aina Syazwana Abdul Muhaimin delivered the first bronze with a shoot-off win over Thailand after both teams were tied 225-225.

The national women's compound trio had earlier lost 227-229 to Kazakhstan in the semi-finals.

The men's recurve team of Quick Chern Xin, Evan Rich Chong and Muhammad Haiqal Danish Syamsul Affandi also clinched bronze after defeating Taiwan 6-2.

The national men's recurve team had earlier lost 1-5 to India in the last four.
