211 FELCRA Participants In Kerangai-Penagoh Phase 3 Receive RM6,000 Each

JELEBU, March 7 (Bernama) -- A total of 211 Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (FELCRA) participants in the Kerangai-Penagoh Phase Three project are set to receive RM6,000 each in profits, totalling RM1.26 million.

FELCRA Berhad chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub said RM1,000 was handed out in cash, with the remaining RM5,000 credited to recipients’ accounts from today.

He said Jelebu participants receive dividends based on their shares, unlike elsewhere, where distribution is based on the land cultivated.

“Surplus dividends this year total RM6,000 per participant, up over RM1,400 from last year.

“In Jelebu, dividends are given as shares once a year, unlike elsewhere where payments are based on land size and made monthly or three times annually,” he told reporters after the Ihya Ramadan event for the Jelebu parliamentary constituency here.

He also presented aid to 200 asnaf (tithe recipients) in Simpang Pertang, which was also witnessed by Negeri Sembilan Rural Development, Plantation and Commodities Committee chairman Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias.

Ahmad Jazlan said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is expected to announce the final profit payouts for FELCRA Berhad participants nationwide today.

Meanwhile, Jalaluddin outlined plans for the second-generation housing project at FELCRA Belia Lakai, covering 194 plots, 94 for FELCRA participants’ homes and 100 managed by FELCRA for development, including related facilities.

“Plot recipients may also build their own homes through specific projects, potentially in partnership with Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB), to help second-generation FELCRA Lakai participants secure housing,” he said.
