KUANTAN, Feb 18 (Bernama) -- The remains of a family of five, victims of a tragic murder at a house in Cerating Damai here, were laid to rest in two graves at the Kampung Budaya Cerating Muslim cemetery at 7.20 pm today.
Tuan Kamaria Tuan Puteh, 56, was buried in the same grave as her daughter-in-law, Nurul Asshiykin Kamarulzaman, 33, and her two grandchildren, Nur Sumayyah Humairah, two, and Nur Saffiyah Humairah, five.
Tuan Kamaria’s 32-year-old son was also laid to rest at the same cemetery.
The remains arrived at the cemetery at 6.50 pm, accompanied by family members, friends and villagers.
Earlier, the remains were bathed and shrouded at Masjid Cerating and Masjid Sungai Ular.
Funeral prayers for all five were performed at Masjid Cerating.
