Agro MADANI Programme Records RM13.25 Million In Sales In 25 Days

KUANTAN, Jan 31 (Bernama) -- The Agro MADANI Sales Programme recorded encouraging performance in the first 25 days of this year, with cumulative sales amounting to RM13.25 million.

Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) chairman Aminuddin Zulkipli said that from Jan 1 to Jan 25, a total of 250 such programmes were implemented nationwide.

He said the programme, which involved 5,527 local entrepreneurs, also successfully attracted 440,000 visitors.

“During this period, cumulative sales reached RM13.25 million and generated savings of RM1.76 million for the public,” he told reporters after officiating the Pahang Agro MADANI Sales Carnival here today.

Last year, the programme recorded sales of RM84.14 million, generating estimated savings of more than RM25 million for the public, with a total of 4,300 programmes held involving 61,891 local entrepreneurs and attracting 2.63 million visitors.

He said each Agro MADANI Sales programme has consistently received encouraging responses, with visitor turnout reaching 100 per cent and exceeding the targets set.

Aminuddin said that due to the high demand for the Agro MADANI Sales Carnival for the 2025/2026 session, which is scheduled to conclude in Melaka in March, the programme is expected to be continued and expanded.

He said upcoming sales programmes will be aligned with major festive celebrations such as Chinese New Year, the month of Ramadan and Aidilfitri.

He added that such carnivals should be held more frequently as they are among the key initiatives that enable the public to enjoy savings, rather than being organised on a seasonal or occasional basis.
