KUCHING, Jan 27 (Bernama) -- A total of 37 people from nine families are still taking shelter at a temporary flood relief centre in Sarawak as of this morning.

The Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) said all flood victims, residents of Kampung Seruyuk, are at the Kampung Seruyuk old mosque building, Samarahan Division, which was opened yesterday.

"The number has increased slightly from 25 victims from eight families yesterday," JPBN said in a statement.

This flood disaster marks the second wave of flooding in Sarawak this month, following the full receding of the previous flood on Jan 17.
