MUAR, Jan 17 (Bernama) -- A total of 63 projects across the six key components of the Kampung Angkat MADANI initiative in Parit Keroma have been successfully completed, involving an allocation of RM1 million.
The Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) said in a statement today that the project’s main initiatives, covering safety, health and infrastructure, were specifically designed to enhance the quality of life, safety and comfort of residents.
“The main focus is on spiritual development, with a significant portion of the allocation used to upgrade mosques and surau through 34 separate activities.
“Meanwhile, under the education component, part of the allocation has been used to upgrade schools through 11 activities to provide a safer and more conducive learning environment,” said the department.
The statement was issued in conjunction with the closing ceremony of the DOSH Kampung Angkat MADANI programme at Masjid Jamek Al-Husna, Parit Keroma, yesterday, which was officiated by DOSH director-general Mohd Hatta Zakaria.
Kampung Parit Keroma was selected as DOSH’s adopted village, reflecting the department’s strong commitment to engaging the community and ensuring that the benefits of national development reach the grassroots.
The balai raya upgrade and solar lighting installation in the mosque’s open parking area not only guarantee safety but also foster the adoption of environmentally friendly, sustainable energy.
