KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 (Bernama) -- Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has expressed his condolences to the family and friends of former Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) journalist Sabaruddin Ahmad Sabri, 60, who died early this morning.
He said the passing of Sabaruddin, who was also a Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) presenter, will surely be felt, especially among media practitioners and the broadcasting community.
“May his soul be blessed and placed among the righteous. Al-Fatihah,” he said in a Facebook post today.
Sabaruddin’s wife, Suzrina Shamsuddin, 55, told Bernama that he died at 5.28 am at Sungai Buloh Hospital due to a lung infection.
It is understood that his body will be brought to Masjid Jamek FRIM for prayers after zuhur before being buried at the Bukit Lagong Muslim Cemetery, Taman Ehsan, Kepong, Selangor.
Sabaruddin leaves behind his wife and five children.
