IPOH, Jan 6 (Bernama) -- Menghidap autisme tidak menjadi penghalang kepada Muhammad Rahimi Mohd Rohinuddin, who has mlld autism - level 1 ASD, was one of the 25 new students accepted into the Sungai Siput Community College (KKSS) during its New Student Registration Day Session II: 2025/2026 today.
According to KKSS, the 20-year-old, a former student at Bukit Beruang Community College, Melaka, had to rise to the challenge of adapting to a new environment after his parents relocated to Ipoh for work last December and successfully transfered to KKSS’ Automotive Technology Certificate programme.
"Even though I faced the challenge of fitting in and socialising in a new environment, I kept my spirits up and was determined to carry on with my studies as I believe that knowledge is very vital for a better future,” Muhammad Rahimi said in a statement provided by the college today.
KKSS praised Muhammad Rahimi’s efforts, noting that they reflected the college’s commitment to provide inclusive education in line with the Higher Education Ministry’s aspirations to ensure access to education and skill training is enjoyed by all regardless of their backgrounds or challenges.
The college also expressed its hope that the new students would bring a new spirit to the learning ecosystem in the college and become skilled and competitive graduates able to face the challenges of their industries in the future.
