KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 19 (Bernama) --  Akhil Gupta, founder and group chief executive officer (CEO) of Talbotiq Technologies Sdn Bhd, was awarded the Future ESG Visionary Award at the 2025 ESG PLUS Awards, in recognition of his forward-looking leadership and commitment to integrating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into technology-driven business strategies.

In a statement today, Talbotiq Technologies Sdn Bhd said that the Future Vision & Commitment ESG category award honours individuals who demonstrate a clear vision for advancing ESG principles and translating it into measurable outcomes.

Acknowledged for over 25 years of experience in IT infrastructure, digital automation, and human capital development, Akhil was honoured for his proven role in establishing scalable, sustainable business models fundamentally built on sustainability, fairness and strong governance.

"As Founder and Group CEO of a conglomerate with service presence across 16 countries, Akhil has consistently championed ESG as a transformation framework rather than a compliance obligation.

"Through Talbotiq Technologies, an AI-powered  Human Resources (HR) and business technology company, he has driven the development of solutions that promote fair and bias-free recruitment, paperless operations, workplace productivity and inclusive digital ecosystems," the statement read.

Akhil’s ESG impact is further amplified through his leadership at Total IT Global, which implemented a circular IT lifecycle and remanufacturing model that extended hardware lifespan, reduced electronic waste, and lowered carbon emissions.

Operating across 128 countries, the company adhered to international standards, including ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, ISO 9001, and ISO 37001, reinforcing its governance, data security and ethical business practices.

At the industry level, Akhil served as vice president of the ESG Association Malaysia and held leadership and committee roles within the National Tech Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) and GBS Malaysia.

In these positions, he contributed to national dialogues on ESG adoption, digital transformation, and responsible innovation.

Commenting on the recognition, Akhil emphasised that ESG should not be treated as a mere checklist, but must be embedded into the DNA of a company's strategy, culture, and leadership.

"Technology, governance and people must work in harmony to create long-term value for organisations, communities and the planet. This award reinforces my commitment to building solutions and ecosystems that deliver measurable, positive impact," he said.

The Future ESG Visionary Award reflected Akhil’s belief that responsible innovation and ethical leadership were essential to future-ready economies, demonstrating how organisations could balance growth with accountability, inclusivity and sustainability.
