Hiking Trails To Pine Tree, Twin Peak And Gunung Semangkok In Raub Closed

KUANTAN, Oct 22 (Bernama) -- The hiking trails to the summits of Pine Tree, Twin Peak and Gunung Semangkok in the Raub district Permanent Forest Reserve (HSK) have been closed.

According to a notice on the Raub district Forest Office's Facebook page, the closure of the routes to the public is effective immediately until further notice.

Therefore, adventurous hikers are advised to comply with the prohibition as failure to do so may result in a penalty taken under Section 47 of the National Forestry Act 1984.

"Pursuant to Section 47 of the National Forestry Act 1984, failure to comply with this instruction is punishable by a fine not exceeding RM10,000 or imprisonment for a period not exceeding three years or both fine and imprisonment, if convicted," the notice said.
