KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 11 (Bernama) -- The country’s number one men's doubles pair, Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik, lived up expectations by cruising into the final of the 2025 Arctic Open Badminton Championships in Vantaa, Finland, today.
The top-seeded pair in the tournament defeated the eighth seeds, Kittinupong Kedren-Dechapol Puavaranukroh from Thailand, 21-15, 21-14 in a 23-minute semi-final match at the Vantaan Energia Areena.
Awaiting them in the final stage tomorrow is the English duo, Ben Lane-Sean Vendy, who advanced after disappointing another national pair, Choong Hon Jian-Muhammad Haikal Nazri, with a score of 16-21, 23-25.
Aaron–Wooi Yik are now closer to claiming their fourth title this season, following successes at the Asia Badminton Championships, the Thailand Open, and the Singapore Open.
