GEORGE TOWN, Sept 2 (Bernama) -- A total of 4,000 consumer accounts in Balik Pulau, in the nearby Southwest district, will experience a scheduled eight-hour water supply disruption starting tomorrow.
The Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) announced that the disruption will start at 10 pm on Tuesday until 6 am the next morning due to the installation of a "pressure reducing valve" (PRV) in Balik Pulau.
"The affected user accounts are along Jalan Sungai Rusa, Kuala Sungai Pinang and Taman Air Putih as well as Jalan Sungai Pinang from Simpang Jalan Baru to the intersection of Jalan Pantai Aceh and Kampung Sungai Pinang.
"The other affected areas are Jalan Permatang Pasir, Jalan Baru, Jalan Sungai Burung, Kuala Jalan Baru, Taman Manggis, Tingkat Sungai Rusa 1 and 2, Persiaran Sungai Rusa, Lorong Sungai Rusa 1 to 3, Lorong Desa Pinang 2 and 4, Lorong Puncak Pinang and Lorong Puncak Pinang 2 to 8," according to a post on its Facebook.
PBAPP advised users to store enough water for use throughout the water supply disruption period and it will update the status of this supply disruption via the official PBAPP Facebook from time to time.
