KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 (Bernama) -- KL Tower will be bathed in blue light on July 18 and 19 in a vibrant show of support for National Unity Week 2025, reflecting the spirit of harmony and togetherness among Malaysians of all backgrounds.
National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said the symbolic gesture aims to highlight the importance of unity and mutual respect in a multiracial, multicultural society like Malaysia.
“The blue lights represent peace and solidarity — a reminder that despite our differences, we are stronger together,” he said in a joint statement with KL Tower today.
He also expressed appreciation for KL Tower’s role as a strategic partner to the Ministry of National Unity (KPN} in promoting this year’s celebration.
LSH Service Master chief executive officer Khairil Faizal Othman, whose company manages the tower, said illuminating one of the nation’s most recognisable landmarks sends a powerful message to all Malaysians.
“Unity is a shared responsibility. Through this simple but meaningful gesture, we hope to remind everyone that national harmony is something we must all uphold,” he said.
Held annually, National Unity Week is a signature programme by KPN aimed at strengthening cultural understanding and fostering national pride.
This year’s celebration will take place from July 17 to 20 at the Batu Kawan Stadium grounds in Penang, featuring cultural showcases, community activities, and performances that celebrate Malaysia’s diversity.
