KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 (Bernama) -- Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has announced that two return haj charter flights have been rescheduled following airline safety advice and in response to the latest developments in airspace operations across the Middle East.
In a statement today, TH said the affected flights are KT043 (MH8301), which was initially scheduled to depart from Madinah at 5.10 am (Saudi time) today, and KT034 (MH8291) from Jeddah at 6.40 am (Saudi time).
“Both charter flights have been delayed by at least 24 hours from their original schedule. New departure times are being arranged, taking into account multiple current factors, including air traffic coordination and logistical requirements,” the statement said.
TH said all affected pilgrims have been temporarily accommodated at hotels in Jeddah and Madinah to ensure their comfort and welfare.
Coordination at both airports is also ongoing between the airline and TH to ensure smooth logistical arrangements for the pilgrims’ return.
As of now, 39 return flights have arrived in Malaysia, with 61 more scheduled. TH said it will continue to provide timely updates, including any changes to the flight schedule.
