KANGAR, May 21 (Bernama) --The Istana Arau grounds will be open to the public this Friday and Saturday (May 23-24) for the ‘Malam Kilauan Cahaya Istana Arau’ #MKC2025, held in conjunction with the 82nd birthday celebration of the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail.
According to the Office of Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin has consented to open the palace grounds for the event, which will take place from 9 pm to 11 pm on both nights.
Visitors are reminded to dress modestly and appropriately when attending the event.
“The public is invited to visit the Istana Arau grounds as stipulated above. It is hoped that the event will carve a thousand and one beautiful memories for the public,” it said in a statement.
Meanwhile, based on the attachment provided with the statement, attendees are reminded that no outside food or drinks are allowed on the palace grounds. The grounds are also a no-smoking area, including electronic cigarettes and vaping.
No littering is allowed, and attendees are only permitted to remain in designated areas within the palace grounds. As a precaution in case of rain, visitors are advised to bring umbrellas or raincoats.
