KAJANG, April 10 (Bernama) -- The 2025 Malaysia Cub Prix Championship calendar will feature 10 rounds, with the season opener scheduled at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) on April 19.
Promotions director Ron Hogg said 17 teams will participate this season, competing across the same seven categories as last year.
“The 2025 season will follow the same competition format, with no changes. This has already been discussed and agreed upon with the participating teams.
“We did have discussions about revising the format, but any changes are likely to be implemented next year,” he told a press conference at the LYL International Circuit in Sungai Long, here today.
Meanwhile, Malaysia Cub Prix also announced a collaboration with the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) aimed at boosting road safety awareness across the country.
Dr Azlan Darus, Head of the Prevention, Medical and Rehabilitation Division at PERKESO, said the partnership will leverage Cub Prix’s wide reach and popularity to deliver important road safety messages, particularly to motorcyclists.
“Road safety is a paramount concern, and we are dedicated to reducing the number of accidents, particularly those involving motorcyclists,” he said.
