KUALA LUMPUR, June 10 (Bernama) -- Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) has achieved significant success in its goal of instilling a disciplined saving habit among the community via the BSN Premium Savings Certificate (BSN SSP).
This can be seen by the 4.75 million registered BSN SSP depositors with RM5.28 billion in savings, its chief business officer Mujibburrahman Abd Rashid said.
He said these figures emphasise BSN SSP’s popularity and significant impact to empower Malaysians to cultivate the savings habit, build wealth and secure their financial future.
“By saving consistently, BSN SSP holders not only cultivate a disciplined saving habit but also gain access to potentially life-changing rewards.
"One of the most notable features of the SSP is the monthly special draw, whereby the depositors stand to win cash prizes, including the grand prize of RM1 million,” he told Bernama.
He said the 100th winner was selected this month. There will be 10 categories and two draws to be introduced, including the BSN 50th anniversary draw and a special draw for teachers and front-line workers.
"The RM1 million prize for the special millionaire draws will take place in two months. The November draw is special for teachers and front-line workers while the December draw for the BSN SSP prize, totalling RM2 million.
“The BSN SSP Platinum is also offered with a 2.50 per cent profit rate for savings of 12 months,” he added.
Mujibburrahman explained that by celebrating SSP's 100th millionaire, BSN reaffirms SSP's role as a catalyst for economic empowerment and inclusion in Malaysia.

Among the RM1 million draw winners were a retired customs officer from Kepala Batas who won in early 2024 and a bamboo food trader.
