KUALA LUMPUR, June 7 (Bernama) -- The national men's compound archery squad created a sensation when they stunned home team South Korea to clinch the gold medal in the final of the 2024 Asia Cup-World Ranking Tournament Stage III in Suwon today.
The national team, comprising Mohd Juwaidi Mazuki, Mohamad Syafiq Md Ariffin and Alang Ariff Aqil Muhammad Ghazalli, defeated the South Korean side consisting of Choi Eun Gyu, Kang Donghyeon and Lee Eun Ho 236-234.
Meanwhile, the National Sports Council (NSC), in a Facebook post, congratulated the team for putting up an excellent performance to bring home the gold medal.
The 2024 Asia Cup, which began on Monday (June 3), ends tomorrow (June 8).
