PUTRAJAYA, June 6 (Bernama) -- The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) is committed to ensuring the government's plan to mandate e-Invoicing for all taxpayers is implemented by July 1, 2025.
In a statement today, the IRB announced that the first phase of e-Invoicing will commence on Aug 1, targeting companies with annual revenues or sales exceeding RM100 million.
"The second phase will involve companies with annual revenues or sales between RM25 million and RM100 million," the statement added.
This announcement coincided with a dialogue session between IRB chief executive officer Datuk Dr Abu Tariq and representatives from 42 Malaysian business associations, involving over 110 members at a local hotel yesterday.
The IRB highlighted that this session was a key agenda designed to facilitate closer interaction with the associations, focusing on shared interests, particularly taxation matters.
"Recognising the significant role that associations play in driving economic growth through business transactions, this initiative also aims to ensure that the competitiveness and sustainability of businesses among members remain robust," the statement concluded.
