KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 (Bernama) -- There is no change to the airtime of the Mandarin News bulletins over RTM, according to the Broadcasting Department (RTM).
RTM in a statement today said the Mandarin News aired over TV2 channel is from 12 noon to 12.30 pm and from 7 pm to 7.30 pm daily apart from being transmitted live via RTMKlik and Facebook.
The Mandarin News lineup remains 30 minutes with the latest news from home and abroad, economic news, sports and Mandarin Gallery.
"The Mandarin News Desk is also currently in the process of improving its delivery service by establishing cooperation with the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) to ensure the delivery of comprehensive information more effectively," according to the statement.
RTM said that with the current trend of increasing viewership on social media, the Mandarin News will also focus more on strengthening news content on digital platforms with the Mandarin News on Facebook garnering over 420,000 followers.
"RTM is optimistic that the current focus on news dissemination on social media can increase the delivery of information to the target group in line with the change in the trend of viewers of having easier access to information on the new media," according to the statement.
