T'ganu Perdana Belia Award Winner Committed To Helping More Converts

Mohd Khairul Ridzuan began this initiative in 2017 with the support of his employer, who owns a network of health and beauty centres in several states. Since then, he has helped nearly 100 converts nationwide remove their tattoos using safe and effective laser procedures.

“I launched this campaign in 2017 to help converts worship with greater confidence and enthusiasm.

“I will continue this service to help more new converts. It is a safe procedure using lasers performed by professionals,” he said during the awards ceremony at Payang Walk last night.

The awards were presented by the National Youth and Sports Department director-general, Mohd Azhari Mohammad. Also present was the State Youth Development, Sports, and Non-Governmental Organisations Committee chairman, Hishamuddin Abdul Karim.

Mohd Khairul Ridzuan was awarded a trophy, a certificate of recognition, and a cash prize of RM3,000.

Meanwhile, the winner of the women's individual category, Che Wan Artika Putri Che Wan Rashid, 26, said that the award inspires her to carry on her volunteer work.

She added that over the past eight years, she has participated in numerous volunteer missions both domestically and internationally to assist the needy. 

“I recently returned from Narathiwat, where I was involved in a mission to deliver food and essential supplies to the poor,” said Che Wan Artika, who is also a member of the Terengganu State Youth Assembly.

Che Wan Artika received a trophy, a certificate of recognition, and a cash prize of RM3,000.

The Youth Organisation category was won by the Kampung Gunung Youth Club, which took home a trophy, a certificate of recognition, and a cash prize of RM10,000.
