KUALA LUMPUR, May 7 (Bernama) -- Nizra Industries is targeting to rake in RM300 million in revenue with a compound annual growth rate of 20 per cent in 2024.

Its group chief executive officer Nik Iruwan Nik Izani said the local defence company is bidding on several tenders from government and military agencies, which are expected to be awarded this year.

“We have some contracts we need to win, namely the AR5 traffic control for the maritime and border control, radar project with the Royal Military Air Force (RMAF) in Kuantan, gun tower for the Malaysian Armed Forces and motorcycle supply contract for the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong’s outriders.

“If you add all of these we should be able to get about RM200 to RM300 million in revenue over the next 12 months,” he told Bernama on the sidelines of the Defence Services Asia (DSA) and National Security (NatSec) Asia 2024 exhibition here today.

The biennial event is being held from May 6 to 9 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec).

The group’s state-of-the-art maritime surveillance drone and cutting-edge solutions for network-centric operations will be showcased at the exhibition’s National Operation Control Centre.

The company also plans to collaborate with a leading Italian defence company for the Air Traffic Control at Kuantan Air Base for RMAF.

The proposal includes after-sales service and operations training in Malaysia, said the group.

Meanwhile, the group also announced a strategic partnership with Turkiye-based software company LpsChain Ltd to leverage proficiencies to provide prospective users with secure data management systems tailored to their unique requirements.

LpsChain founder Gokhan Onal said the partnership underscores Nizra’s commitment to pioneering technological advancements and fostering innovation within the cybersecurity sector.

“Together, Nizra Industries and LpsChain are dedicated to empowering organisations with cutting-edge tools and insights necessary to streamline operations, mitigate risks, and fortify cybersecurity measures against evolving threats,” he added.

Meanwhile, Nik Iruwan said by synergising the sterling reputation in the defence and security sector with LpsChain’s strengths in data management, the company is poised to redefine the cybersecurity landscape in East Asia.

“This partnership underscores our readiness and capability to enhance military and national security capabilities across various domains, ensuring preparedness to tackle present and future challenges effectively,” he said.
