PENANG FC HOPE TO SIGN UP ANOTHER IMPORTED PLAYER
KUALA NERUS, April 18 (Bernama) -- Penang FC badly need another imported player to strengthen the team for the new Super League season, said head coach Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli.
The former national player said he has identified an attacking midfielder from Latin America for this task.
"Tomorrow (today) the management will have a meeting. There may be a decision on whether I can bring in another key player for an attacking midfield role.
“I hope to realise this plan to strengthen our attack,” he told reporters after their match against Terengganu FC in a pre-season quadrangular tournament at Stadium Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin (SSMZA) here last night.
Akmal Rizal said he has not decided on the team’s first 11 for the new season.
Penang FC have signed up four imported players - Moon Gun Young, Rodrigo Dias, Rafael Vitor and Richmond Ankrah.
