KOTA BHARU, March 14 (Bernama) -- Quick-service restaurant chain operator Marrybrown Sdn Bhd plans to open up to 40 new outlets in Kelantan by 2027.
Chief executive officer Daniel Chan said this move, following encouraging response from the local residents, will open up more job opportunities for the locals.
“Currently, there are 10 Marrybrown outlets in Kelantan employing about 200 workers; and we are seeing a stronger reception, especially among the youth.
“We plan to add 30-40 new branches in the urban and rural areas in the state based on the high demand,” he told reporters after launching Marrybrown’s latest menu, “Menu Riang Ramadan Raya”, at its branch at Jalan Long Yunus here today.
The new menu comprises Nasi Ayam Penyet Marrybrown and Ayam Penyet Burger Combo, which are being offered exclusively during the months of Ramadan and Syawal until April 28, 2024.
Chan said Marrybrown will also set up more outlets in Terengganu and Pahang in the near future given the rising sales trend.
“To date, Marrybrown has opened about 500 branches, of which 250 are in Malaysia and the rest overseas, including in Myanmar, the Middle East and Maldives,” he added.
