KUALA NERUS, March 13 (Bernama) -- The success of three Terengganu FC (TFC) players being called up by national under-23 head coach Juan Torres Garrido proves that the team has a line-up of talented young players, says Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd (TFCSB) chief operating officer Mohd Syahrizan Mohd Zain.
He said the Turtles squad was very proud of the achievement which would undoubtedly bring various benefits to the players and the club.
He said credit should also be given to the coaching staff who successfully honed the talents and potential of the players, enabling them to represent the country on the international stage.
"Exposure at the international level will undoubtedly provide the players with more experience, thereby contributing to better achievements for the club,” he said when contacted.
The three players called to participate in the Harimau Malaya U-23 squad's central training camp which begins on Sunday are central defender Muhammad Ubaidullah Shamsul Fazili; Muhammad Faris Rifqi Abdul Rashid and goalkeeper, Rahadiazli Rahalim.
The training is in preparation for the U-23 Asian Cup 2024 in Qatar, which will take place from April 15 to May 3.
