Good Response To Padu Registration At Central Zone Madani Rakyat

KUALA SELANGOR, Feb 23 (Bernama) -- The physical counter of Central Database Hub (PADU)  opened in conjunction with Central Zone MADANI Rakyat at the Kuala Selangor Sports Complex starting today until Sunday has facilitated members of the public as the registration process took only 10 minutes.

A Bernama survey found the PADU counter which opened from 9 am to 6 pm attracted a steady stream of visitors to obtain first hand information and to register. 

Retired armed forces personnel Tumirin Rebo, 60, who lives in Kampung Bukit Cherakah, Jeram, here said did not want to miss the opportunity to visit the counter for more information on the benefits of the system and to get help from the staff to register himself and his wife.

"As a senior citizen, it is quite difficult for me to register with PADU via mobile phone and since there is a physical counter opened today, it is easier for me to get information from the staff and to help me fill in the information easily and quickly," he said.

Civil servant, Lim Peng Peng, 46, from Taman Malawati Utama, here also seized the opportunity to complete the PADU information update process which was unsuccessful due to identity verification earlier. 

"I tried to get help by calling the hotline and the website but was unsuccessful so today I came to get help from the staff face to face and in less than 10 minutes everything was done," she said.

A housewife from Bandar Baru Kuala Selangor M Kavitha, 39, visited the Central Zone MADANI Rakyat just to register with PADU and ensure that she and her family did not miss out on receiving benefits from the government.

"I have tried to do it at home but there were parts that were not complete, so after realising that there is a physical counter open from today until Sunday, I immediately brought my family to register.

"The process is very easy here compared to at home because the staff ask for incomplete information and solve it at that time. So I hope that after this our family will not miss out on government assistance," she said.

The three-day Central Zone MADANI Rakyat programme is taking place from 9 am to 10 pm. It offers various interesting events to visitors such as the PDRM summons payment counter, free helmet exchange in addition to various government services.

The organisation of the programme is a continuation of the MADANI Government One Year Programme, which is a forum for the community to obtain information about 163 federal, state and related government services.
