BANGI, Feb 19 (Bernama) -- The Communications Ministry’s Association of Wives and Women Members of the Malaysian Civil Service (Puspanita) hosted a dinner event tonight to raise funds for charity.
Its chairman, Nik Noralhuda Nik Mohamed, said the funds would be channelled to orphanages, old folks homes, and dialysis centres, adding that the handover ceremony would take place soon.
“This event is also held to appreciate the efforts and contributions of members of the ministry’s Puspanita in supporting its programmes besides to strengthen the friendship among us,” she said at the event themed ‘Antara Benua’, here, tonight.
Over 200 members, including those from the Information Department (JaPen) and the Malaysian Broadcasting Department, attended the function coordinated by the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama).
The event featured performances by JaPen artistes and the ‘crowning’ of the ‘Queen of the Night’.
