Replica Of Prophet Adam's Robe Among Attractions At Restu Global Quranic Arts Festival

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 14 (Bernama) -- A striking 27-metre-tall replica of Prophet Adam's robe is one of the main attractions at the Restu Global Quranic Arts Festival set to captivate visitors from Feb 23 to March 3 at the Nasyrul Quran Complex in Precinct 14, Putrajaya.

Restu Foundation corporate communications director Norashikin Abdul Latiff highlighted that in addition to showcasing the replica of Prophet Adam's robe, the festival, now in its second edition, features a variety of activities aimed at enriching visitors’ experience.

"This year, we are not only focusing on the artistic aspects of the Quran such as calligraphy and the beauty of Quranic calligraphy, but we are also expanding into other aspects.

"Among them are Sunnah foods and martial arts with connections to the Quran," she said when contacted by Bernama today.

Norashikin also noted that visitors can participate in various activities, including calligraphy writing, browsing exhibition and sales booths, attending forums, as well as joining courses on funeral prayers and prayers in forensic pathology.

The foundation aims to attract 100,000 visitors this year, up from 60,000 last year, emphasising the festival's inclusivity and free admission to all, irrespective of background.

Norashikin said the festival is seen as an opportunity to engage with individuals outside the Muslim community and convey messages related to Islam, serving as a platform for outreach efforts aimed at fostering understanding and dialogue.

“The festival will run for 10 days, opening from 9 am to 6 pm on weekdays and extending to 9 pm on weekends,” she added.
