Kpj Healthcare Launches 10th 'kwan' Mobile Clinic In Pahang

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 (Bernama) -- KPJ Healthcare Berhad (KPJ Healthcare) achieved a milestone with the launch of the 10th Klinik Waqaf An-Nur (KWAN) mobile clinic, specifically for rural communities in Pahang.

Norhaizam Mohammad, Chief Financial Officer of KPJ Healthcare Berhad, said the launch of the 10th KWAN mobile clinic is the result of a strategic collaboration between KPJ Pahang Specialist Hospital (KPJ Pahang), Waqaf An-Nur and Waqaf Felda.

“The cost of the mobile clinic's vehicle was donated by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) and Waqaf Felda, involving a development cost of RM388,000 using Zakat Waqalah Corporate SSM. The mobile clinic is ready to provide quality healthcare services to the community in Kuantan,” she said in a statement.

She said KPJ Pahang plays a role in managing the overall medical operations of the mobile clinic to ensure quality services. The mobile clinic is equipped with a trained medical team and nurses, as well as medical supplies.

“KPJ Pahang is also ready to collaborate to provide broad access to healthcare services for the Felda community and surrounding areas for mutual benefit. Waqaf Felda will handle maintenance and ensure the smooth operation of the mobile clinic,” she said.

Norhaizam, who is also KWAN chairman, said the launch of the mobile clinic marks two decades of dedication by KWAN in driving a significant revolution in community healthcare for the Felda community and others.

“We are proud to be part of the handover ceremony of this mobile clinic with Waqaf Felda and SSM. We believe this initiative will bring about positive changes to the lives of the local community,” she said.

She said KWAN has provided services to nearly two million patients at static clinics nationwide and more than 32,000 patients through mobile clinics, adding that this achievement reinforces KWAN's role in contributing to fair and equitable healthcare services for the community.

“Under the supervision of Waqaf Felda, the 10th KWAN mobile clinic promises a positive impact in terms of healthcare accessibility and a brighter future for thousands of people in Pahang,” she said.
