KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 7 (Bernama) - Argentine-born striker Fernando Forestieri has officially left 10-time consecutive Super League champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT).
JDT shared this information today through the JOHOR Southern Tigers Facebook page while expressing gratitude for the services of the 33-year-old player since he joined the local football giant at the beginning of the 2022 season.
"All the best, Forestieri," said the post.
Forestieri was part of the Southern Tigers squad that made history by winning the 'double quadruple' in 2022 and 2023.
He scored 47 goals and provided 21 assists in 69 appearances with JDT.
The former Italy Under-21 player had previously been associated with several clubs in Europe, including Malaga, Watford, and Udinese.
