KUALA TERENGGANU, Dec 19 (Bernama) -- Yayasan Petronas is presenting relief packages to 1,500 families who were affected by floods in Terengganu.
Petronas East Coast general manager, Mohammad Ahmad Shazly Ramli said the contribution was handed to the Terengganu Welfare Department (JKM) to be dsitributed to the affected flood victims.
He said through the package, each family will receive the caring pack comprising mineral water, blankets, towels, toiletries as well as food worth RM300.
"The 2023 Disaster Relief Programme is one of the continuous efforts of Yayasan Petronas to help flood victims.
"It is hoped the contribution would give relief to the entire family who are being sheltered in temporary relief centres,” he said at the Petronas relief package presentation ceremony here today.
Also present was the Terengganu State Secretary, Datuk Seri Tengku Farok Hussin Tengku Abd Jalil.
Besides the package assistance, Mohammad Ahmad Shazly also presented a donation of fuel supplies and money amounting to RM10,000 in the form of Petronas Gift Cards to be used by relevant security personnel.
According to him since 2019, Yayasan Petronas has channeled donations worth RM5 million to flood-affected households.
