SHAH ALAM, Dec 3 (Bernama) -- AEON BiG (M) Sdn Bhd (AEON BiG) received more than 30,000 entries for the 'Shop More Win More' contest from Oct 19 to Nov 26, celebrating the 11th anniversary of the hypermarket.
AEON BiG managing director, Sheikh Farouk Sheikh Mohamed, said that out of the total, 11 participants successfully advanced to the final stage at AEON BiG Bukit Rimau, to win the prizes on offer by the company.
Among the main prizes were a Proton Saga Premium car and a Proton X50 Flagship car.
"This contest is not only open to our loyal customers but also to our business partners and suppliers," he told reporters after the Grand Finale event of the 'Shop More Win More' contest held today.
Also present was the Senior Political Secretary to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Farouk said that AEON BiG is increasingly gaining a place in the hearts of the community, particularly through the implementation of the Rahmah Sales in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN).
He said that as a result, they have initiated the Orange Day programme, which involves touring different states every month and offering attractive discounts to customers.
In the meantime, Shamsul Iskandar commended AEON BiG's initiative in presenting the MADANI concept in terms of maintaining good relationships with customers through affordable sales programmes.
"I would like to suggest to companies with large networks to take heed and embrace the MADANI principle, implementing programmes that are community-oriented," he said.
One of the winners of the contest, Ngeow Bih Lei, 35, expressed her disbelief at winning the grand prize, a Proton X50 Flagship car. She won after spending over RM1,500 at AEON BiG Falim, Ipoh, Perak, in October to purchase a television and a hair dryer.
"It feels like a dream (to win the grand prize); today is my lucky day," said Bih Lei who works as an assistant accountant in a private company.
