Sunway Pyramid To Inspire Magical, Whimsical Festive Season With A Storyful Christmas 

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1 (Bernama) -- From now until Jan 1, 2024, Sunway Pyramid is prepared to transport its shoppers into a world of wonder and happiness through the mall’s take on ‘My Christmas Story’, where every corner of the mall is a tale of excitement come to life.

Sunway Pyramid in a statement today said each element, from the Christmas trees, to benches and even the titular character, Snowy the Snowman is constructed from giant books in line with the ‘My Christmas Story’ theme.

“The highlight of the event is Snowy’s Winter Wonderland, hosted within Snowy features an experiential room full of frosty delights...shoppers will be able to take photos inside to commemorate their time with Snowy, and have it printed to be placed inside a specially designed card sleeve to decorate.

“Shoppers who intend to make their own version of Snowy to take home can do so at the snowman origami booth in the concourse, and skincare purveyor Innisfree as well as UOB will have booths present for customers to shop at and enquire from,” the statement said.

According to the statement every weekend the mall also brings more fun and enjoyment for shoppers – this begins at the newly renovated Orange Entrance that has been completed in time for the season where standing tall a giant 30 ft tall Christmas tree, decorated with bold and shiny baubles, ribbons and festive décor.

“From Friday to Sunday evenings including Christmas Day, make your way to the entrance to enjoy Joyful Snow Time with a special snowing experience at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm respectively. Get your cameras ready to capture magical shots of yourselves and loved ones amidst the frosty flakes cascading from the ceiling, or simply twirl around to your heart’s delight,” said the statement.

According the statement on selected Saturdays there will be Christmas performances where those present can sing along to their favourite tunes while Santa Claus will also be making an appearance on selected Sundays to bring that extra ounce of cheer to all present in the mall.

Meanwhile, the statement said the element of sustainability is also present across the concourse with 30 percent of all festive décor across Sunway Pyramid and Sunway Malls being sourced from recycled material and also been reused from previous years’ campaigns.

In addition, shoppers will also get a reward when they shop in Sunway Pyramid during the campaign, and they will be able to redeem special gifts such as a diffuser, glass containers and luggage sets for their year-end travels based on the amount spent.

Senior general manager of Sunway Pyramid Jason Chin, shared, “Every year, Malaysians celebrate multiple festive seasons together and we foster kinship at every opportunity. We tell stories and reminisce whilst sparking new tales of togetherness and building new memories.

“This Christmas, we welcome our visitors with renewed vigour as we celebrate the end of 2023, and forge towards a new frontier for Sunway Pyramid in 2024, entering a new chapter since our last major expansion in 2015.”
