PUTRAJAYA, Nov 16 (Bernama) -- The Advance Integrated Nilam System (AINS) application was handed over to the Ministry of Education (MOE) today to improve the efficiency of student information management and increase the reading culture among students.

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in a statement said AINS was developed by the JomBaca team under the MYHackathon 2022 programme.

The AINS project helps teachers analyse student reading records and provide information on content that piqued their interests, which could be used to encourage them to maintain the reading culture, read the statement.

AINS submission to MOE signifies a collaborative effort involving multiple ministries, departments, and agencies to solve problems and enhance the well-being of the people.

At the handover ceremony, MOSTI secretary-general Datuk Dr Aminuddin Hassim described AINS as an example of successful collaboration across  ministries, government agencies, and the private sector in developing applications that can benefit national education.

"MOE and MOSTI's collaboration highlights AINS' role in enhancing the reading culture among students and the efficiency of student information and school assets management," he said.

The MYHackathon programme is a national initiative driven by MOSTI and Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd as the implementing agency to encourage technology development and innovation among startups to improve the quality of public services.
