HULU SELANGOR, Nov 15 (Bernama) -- The Digital Economy Centre (PEDi) at Felda Soeharto is planning to produce 300 active entrepreneurs through the entrepreneurship programmes provided at the centre.
Its manager, Rossyafira Muhammad said the centre also provides services including courier as well as registration and renewal with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
“The response is encouraging because all the courses or entrepreneurship programmes are free.
“So, next year the target is to produce 300 active entrepreneurs compared to this year, which is 137 people.
“Hopefully, those interested do not miss the opportunity to join the programmes at PEDi because we have individuals who have succeeded after joining the programmes,” she told Bernama today.
As of June this year, 27,963 active entrepreneurs were recorded nationwide through programmes implemented by PEDi.
Meanwhile, the Felda Soeharto PEDi icon for entrepreneurship, Siti Aisyah Mat Zin, 40, said PEDi entrepreneurship programmes helped her to develop her gifts and flowers business and increase her total sales.
“My sales before joining the PEDi programmes were around RM150 per month, sometimes none. After participating in the PEDi entrepreneurship programmes, Alhamdulillah, sales rose to RM2,500,” she said, adding that participants are guided to start an online business and market their products.
