KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 12 (Bernama) -- Twelve papers on oil palm breeding were presented by world-renowned experts and scientists on oil palm breeding and production at the recent International Seminar on Elaeis oleifera and Interspecific Hybrid, according to the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).
It said the seminar, jointly organised by MPOB and the International Society for Oil Palm Breeders (ISOPB), was held last Friday (Nov 10) in Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with the International Palm Oil Congress and Exhibition (PIPOC) 2023 on Nov 7-9.
“The seminar provided a platform to oil palm breeders worldwide to share their experience for the common goal of crop improvement as well as building relationships among oil palm breeders and oil palm scientists,” said MPOB director-general Datuk Dr Ahmad Parveez Ghulam Kadir in a statement.
