JOHOR BAHRU, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- Morimatsu International Holdings Company Ltd and Dialog Group Bhd, through their joint venture company Morimatsu Dialog (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, will invest RM250 million for the expansion of one-stop engineering and fabrication services in Pengerang, Kota Tinggi in Johor.
Dialog Group, in a joint statement with Morimatsu, said the 18,245 square metres facility would mainly consist of module production workshops equipped with modern workplace amenities and infrastructure.
“With the expansion estimated to be completed progressively by the first quarter of 2025, the facility would support Morimatsu Dialog in meeting the demands and opportunities in the region and beyond while contributing more opportunities to the state’s job market,” the two companies said in the statement.
Morimatsu International Holdings executive director Hirotaka Kawashima said the expansion would also focus on manufacturing equipment and modules that are used to produce raw materials for electric vehicle (EV) batteries, semiconductors and green energy.
"This will enable us to establish a system that can provide our customers with comprehensive services and one-stop solutions. Overseas demand in these areas is increasing rapidly and the overseas business will drive our growth. We will firstly establish a production system with an annual revenue target of RM300 million,” he said.
Executive chairman of Dialog Group Tan Sri Ngau Boon Keat said the joint venture has gone from strength to strength, catering to international clients and has successfully secured several jobs from companies in the United States, South Korea, Vietnam and Malaysia. “With both Morimatsu and Dialog’s proven track record and good reputation in the local and international market, I am confident that this expansion will continue to provide an excellent value proposition for this joint venture,” Ngau said.
Morimatsu Dialog (Malaysia) was established in 2021 to provide one-stop engineering and fabrication services.
