KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 (Bernama) -- Intro Synergy Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of GoAuto Group Sdn Bhd, has officially launched the electric vehicle (EV) model, Neta V, to the Malaysian market.

The sole distributor of Neta, one of China’s EV brands, said Neta V will be available for booking nationwide with an on-the-road price of RM100,000.

“The car comes with a five-year or 150,000 kilometre (km) warranty for general components, an eight-year or 180,000 km warranty for EV high voltage components including battery and on-board charger, and a 10-year or 200,000 km warranty for the body,” the company said in a statement.

It said Neta V is available in five unique colours, namely sakura pink, sky blue, moonlight green, midnight grey, cyan and white storm.

With 380 km of range on a single charge, the model's electric motor produces up to 95 kilowatts of power and a maximum torque of 160 Newton metres, allowing the EV to accelerate from 0 to 50 kilometres per hour (km/h) in just 3.9 seconds and reaching a maximum speed of 120 km/h (based on actual tests).

“The Neta V supports both fast and slow charging and is equipped with a battery management system optimisation which shortens charging times, achieving 20 per cent to 80 per cent charge in approximately 30 minutes through direct current fast charging.

“It also is equipped with HEPT 3.0 thermostatic battery management system, which utilises liquid cooling to maintain battery efficiency with minimal cooling energy,” it said.

According to the statement, Neta has also established a network of dealers and service centres in the Klang Valley, as well as the northern, southern and eastern regions of Peninsula Malaysia, and also in Sabah.

The brand plans to further expand this network to cater for more customers as the brand gains momentum within the market segment.

GoAuto Group executive chairman Datuk SM Azli SM Nasimuddin Kamal said Neta and Intro Synergy are committed to playing their role in helping consumers transition to electric-based transportation modes as the country drives towards carbon neutrality by the year 2050.

“As Malaysia works its way through issues such as subsidy rationalisation and other energy transitions, the introduction of the Neta brand to the Malaysian market signifies our commitment as a local industry player towards contributing to the national agenda from our standpoint,” he said.

He said via partnerships and its own group investments, the group is committed to expanding its operations to allow consumers access to more EV products and is currently planning to undertake manufacturing and assembly of various types of EVs at its new assembly plant in Negeri Sembilan.
