PUTRAJAYA, Oct 2 (Bernama) -- The Prime Minister's Department (JPM) deputy secretary-general (Finance and Development) Datuk Awang Alik Jeman has been appointed as the senior deputy secretary-general (TKSUK) of the department effective today.
JPM deputy secretary-general (Cabinet) Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah was appointed JPM deputy secretary-general (Finance and Development) also effective today, JPM said in a statement.
Awang Alik, 56, who has a master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Malaya (UM) has served in the public service for 25 years starting as an administrative and diplomatic officer in 1998.
He has served in several ministries, departments and agencies such as the Public Service Department, the Parliament of Malaysia, the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development.
Meanwhile, Abdul Halim, 52, who holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has served for 27 years in the civil service.
"Hopefully, Awang Alik and Abdul Halim’s experience, skills and leadership will empower and strengthen JPM in line with the aspirations of the people and towards the development of a MADANI nation," said JPM.
