Fsbm, Lcsb Target Rm80 Mln Sales From Smart Agility Programme

KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 (Bernama) -- FSBM Holdings Bhd (FSBM) and Linear Channel Sdn Bhd (LCSB) aim to achieve RM80 million in sales from LCSB’s newly launched Smart Agility Programme (SAP) by year-end.

An initiative by LCSB, the SAP is a subscription-based Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) model that is customised to provide customers with an alternative in buying or leasing information technology (IT) equipment, together with a flexible payment solution.

 LCSB founder Chin Tong Lim said through the SAP, the company has simplified and crafted an efficient way to deploy and manage devices in a modern IT environment with expert support and end-to-end smart lifecycle services.

“At the moment, our target market is small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and for a start, we are eyeing to have at least 2,000 SMEs subscribing to this programme,” he said to reporters after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FSBM’s wholly-owned subsidiary, FSBM I-Design Sdn Bhd and LCSB here today.

Chin added that under the MoU, FSBM would play a very important role, especially in terms of cybersecurity.

He noted that LCSB is currently just a hardware provider company, therefore, it needs to leverage FSBM’s technology deployment while offering more add-on services along the way.

FSBM I-Design director Ng Kok Kiong said the company may also provide application development services to LCSB’s customers who may need custom applications for their leased laptops, tablets and computers.

“Through this collaboration, we will be able to provide customers with more comprehensive HaaS and Internet of Things (IoT)-related solutions.

“The FSBM group has a number of business segmentations, namely software application development, cybersecurity and IoT, so we can help the SMEs to enhance their IT system or solutions,” he said.

Ng said under the MoU, both parties also agreed to explore cooperation opportunities to provide LCSB’s customers with cybersecurity risk assessment and vulnerability testing services as well as provide disaster recovery solutions.
