KUALA LUMPUR, April 20 (Bernama) -- Packaging solutions producer Master-Pack Group Bhd aims to continue strengthening its customer base to cover a wider range of industries and geographical areas.
Group executive chairman Datuk Syed Mohamad Syed Murtaza said the forecast for Peninsular Malaysia would be much dependent on the performance of Master-Pack’s customers, the multi-national companies, as the packaging business was highly dependent on their business.
“Going forward, the Kuching facility will be installed with a brand new corrugator machine replacing a machine of more than 20 years.
“This capital expenditure will expand the existing capacity as it takes into consideration the new foreign investments in Sarawak as well as our existing customers’ approved expansion plans,” he added in the group’s 2022 annual report.
Master-Pack Group and its subsidiaries are primarily engaged in the manufacturing of corrugated cartons and wooden packaging, as well as providing one-stop packaging solutions to its customers.
The two main company subsidiaries’ packaging plants are located in Nibong Tebal and Sungai Baong, Penang, and Kuching, Sarawak.
Master-Pack’s packaging plants are strategically located to service both East and West Malaysia markets.
