SANDAKAN, March 26 (Bernama) -- The Perlis government's Exercise Programme to Sabah (Eks Perbah) is expected to benefit the security forces, civil servants and the community in this state, said the Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail.

He said the programme, that has been organised since 2003, is aimed at showcasing and providing moral support to security personnel, who control national border security in Sabah, as well improve and expand its implementation by also including community elements.

"This programme is an annual visit by the Perlis government to the security zones in Sabah, and is also attended by members of the state government’s administration, department heads, corporate figures, and motivational experts from the Tuanku Syed Putra Foundation (YTSP).

"This programme is also to develop a top-class minded community for the development of our nation," said Tuanku Syed Faizuddin at the Eks Perbah 2023 appreciation ceremony here tonight.

The Raja Muda’s speech was read out by Perlis state secretary Datuk Seri Hasnol Zam Zam Ahmad.

According to Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, for community events which comes under corporate social responsibility (CSR), the programme is known as the Jiwa Murni Programme while the Titian Kasih Programme is a human capital development programme involving school students as well as students of higher education institutions.

"These two programmes are included as part of the Eks-Perbah progamme agenda to support all the efforts of the Sabah government to jointly develop the socioeconomics of the people of Sabah," added Tuanku Syed Faizuddin.
